There hasn’t been much said about the August 17th release of ParaNorman for awhile now, but a new trailer has debuted that goes pretty well into showcasing the second feature from the people behind the film Coraline. With stop motion animation, 3D style, done by LAIKA, it’ll hit this summer starring the voices of Kodi Smit-McPhee, Casey Affleck, Anna Kendrick, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Leslie Mann, Jeff Garlin, John Goodman, and Alex Borstein.  It marks the second film to be made in 3D using stop animation.

Plot Concept: In “ParaNorman,” a small town comes under siege by zombies. Who can it call? Only misunderstood local boy Norman (voiced by Kodi Smit-McPhee), who is able to speak with the dead. In addition to the zombies, he’ll have to take on ghosts, witches and, worst, of all, moronic grown-ups, to save his town from a centuries-old curse. But this young ghoul whisperer may find his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits.
