It’s New Comic Book Day and that means it’s a great day! Wednesday’s is when the world really goes round in the comic book side of things, even with releases throughout the week, as the big titles tend to all hit right here, right now. This week has a lot of things going on across the board, but especially with DC Comics. The first issue of Convergence arrives after last week’s zero issue and alongside that we get a slew of first issues for this brief event while the business entity moves from New York to California, making for a few weeks of some very fun books before their upcoming slate changes.

Other publishers are getting in on things as well as BOOM! launches Sleepy Hollow: Origins and Dynamite kicks off the second Masks series, the third Jungle Girl season and the new Reanimator series. Image Comics has a lot of ongoings but is also bringing out Jupiter’s Circle and Ixth Generation: Hidden Files alongside Savior. Marvel Comics is debuting Max Ride: First Flight, but is mostly working its ongoings as it pushes towards Secret Wars.

On the manga side, DMP is bringing out the first two installments of Erementar Gerade: Flag of Bluesky while TOKYOPOP has War On Flesh. I’m not sure TOKYOPOP has much left in their catalog to add at this point…
