While the Marvel Cinematic Universe is nicely connected to the Agents of SHIELD series and will be with the upcoming Netflix series as well, it doesn’t always mean events in one will have an impact with the other. The folks at Movies.com posed that question to Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige this week as he’s out doing a lot of press for the upcoming Captain America movie where it was asked if the recent Asgardian episode of Agents of SHIELD could portend events there spilling into the Thor 3 film that has been given the go ahead.

“No, I wouldn’t say that,” Kevin Feige said. “They (Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.) very much have to forge their own territory, their own ground on the TV show, and where events can coincide… it’s fun to do that.”

The other aspect that comes up that people are wondering how it’ll be handled, because it must be at some time, is if/when Coulson will reappear in one of the films and how the Avengers crew will handled it. When asked if he would be in the now filming Avenges: Age of Ultron, he replied, “That is a good question that I probably shouldn’t answer for any number of reasons.”
