We’re just under a month away from the new Nova series that will give us a taste of the character after the events of Secret Wars and now Marvel has previewed the first installment. The new series comes from writer Sean Ryan, who is working with artist Cory Smith to bring it to life. The first issue is set for a November 4th, 2015 release and we’ve got a look at it, the first few unlettered pages, and a trio of variant covers as well.

Plot concept: Sam Alexander is still an Avenger and the Human Rocket, but these days he’s got his old man, Jesse, by his side! For the first time in years, there’s more than one Nova in the galaxy and things are finally starting to go Sam’s way! But what really happened to Jesse while he was stranded out in space?
