The New York Times has updated its listings of the best selling manga for September 19th with a look at sales as of the end of September 10th. The latest round of rankings covers a lot of releases that hit on September 6th, which is pretty natural, but has some older titles holding on as well, notably the April release of Blue Exorcist which is gaining more attention as the anime series gets closer to finishing out and the start of the home video run. The big but unsurprising news is that the latest volume of Naruto lands at the top of the charts as does the latest from Bleach. Viz Media dominates the charts this week, which at least has some diversity to it as we get the big shonen titles but also things like Black Bird and Butterflies, Flowers and even Library Wars. Diversity is key among titles for a healthy market, but also among publishers who we hope to see make some inroads in the coming weeks as well.
