When Anime Studios Market Whisky… With the varied campaigns that animation studios in Japan get involved in, sometimes you get something that’s just plain surreal and engaging to watch that just has little to do with the end product itself. Being in the midst of watching the fourth season of Mad Men, myself, I was quickly drawn to this video to see how Studio 4°c would do when it comes to designing an ad for Johnnie Walker’s Scotch Whisky for the Japanese market. And not just a 30 second spot or anything, but a full on five minute short that’s designed to draw people to their site and get them to check out more things. The work comes from some solid creative material at that with Shoujirou Nishimi taking the helm here after being involved with things like TekkonKinkreet and Batman: Gotham Knight.
