The upcoming series Legends of Tomorrow is something that we’re definitely very keen on as it starts to realize more of the comic book potential on TV with a diverse cast of characters and some really fun concepts to it. While we’ve had the core cast for a bit now, things are starting to grow a bit more as it’s been revealed that Falk Hentschel has joined the production in the role of Carter Hall, aka Hawkman. Considering we have Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl in the series, it’s not too much of a surprise but it’s one that we’re glad to see. Like Kendra, Carter can access the powers of the Hawk God, Horus, transforming him into the winged warrior known as Hawkman.

It’s also been revealed that he’ll  first appear as Hawkman in next season’s crossover episodes of Arrow and The Flash before continuing the role on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Hentschel recently appeared in Agents of SHIELD playing the role of Marcus Scarlotti, also known as Whiplash.

Set for the winter 2016 season, it’s been confirmed for a thirteen episode run – which is perfect for this kind of project and one that I hope we see utilized well going forward.

The series stars Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill, Caity Lotz, Ciarra Renee, Franz Drameh, Falk Hentschel with Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller,

Plot concept: When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat – one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?
