After Sentai Filmworks acquired the rights to Gingitsune last fall, they’re now exercising their streaming side of it a bit with the series now available in full on Hulu. With the series set to arrive on home video soon, it’s the perfect opportunity to check out the show and see if it’s up your alley so you can add it to your permanent collection. The series is available for streaming as normal while those with a Hulu Plus account can stream it to their TV or mobile devices.

The series based on the ongoing manga by Sayori Ochiai that runs in Ultra Jump in Japan. The series is directed by Shin Misawa (Capeta, Initial D) with series composition by Hiroshi Yamaguchi (Desert Punk, Nobunagun), music by Tatsuya Katou (Celestial Method, Medaka Box), and animation production by Diomedea (Campione!, Kantai Collection -Kan Colle-).
Plot concept: Gingitsune: Messenger Fox of the Gods follows the everyday life of Makoto Saeki, who is the 15th successor to her family’s shrine. As a result, Makoto is able to see Gintaro, a messenger of the gods who is the spirit of a sacred silver fox and has lived at the shrine for over 350 years. As a messenger of the gods, Gintaro has the ability to see into the future, and uses it to help Makoto only when she is truly in need. This is the story of friendship between a delicate teenager and a shy and stubborn messenger of the gods.
