New ‘Bobobo-Bo Bo-Bobo’ Anime DVD Released Without Subtitles This week has seen the release of the first Bobobo-Bo Bo-Bobo collection from S’More Entertainment in which they were releasing 38 episodes across four discs (10 episodes a disc, 8 on the 4th) for $50. While the company has released other series over the years, this is their first anime venture of note. The release was solicited with Japanese Language, English Language and English subtitles. According to the ongoing discussion thread about the release (from announcement to street date), the title has a particular flaw about it that may be off-putting for some.

There are no subtitles.

However, they have included all the scripts in PDF form on the fourth DVD, something that is listed as a special feature.

S’More Entertainment has also acquired Galaxy Express 999 TV for release. They have not commented on the questions left for them on their Facebook page , though they’ve posted to other questions.

Plot concept: He’s soulful… He’s dynamic… And he’s HAIRY. Meet BoBoBo-Bo Bo-BoBo. With his golden afro and 5-foot nose hairs as weapons, he’s out to protect hairdom from the authoritarian tyrant, Czar Baldy Bald IV, who has initiated a “Hair Hunt” to crack down on any citizens who wish to hold on to their curly locks.

Join BoBoBo as he rescues Beauty, turns into fruit, sits inside a large burger bun, turns into a tank, cross-dresses, and introduces the would-be hair snatchers to his Honorable King Nose Hair, Bababa-Baba-Baba. Together, BoBoBo and Beauty team up with a similarly wacky group of allies – including the unpredictable Don Patch and Gasser, a sidekick who uses flatulence as a weapon.
