Fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender are continuing to get excited, and rightly so, for the new series coming from the team behind it with the reveal of the new trailer for The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra which debuted this weekend at the San Diego Comic-Con. With the series moving forward in time by another seventy-five years, it allows it to build off of what has come before but to stand on its own as well, which will definitely help it in the long run so it doesn’t seem like a retread.

Plot concept: The new series will take place 70 years after the end of the Avatar: The Last Airbender story arc, with all-new characters and settings.The protagonist of the new series, Korra, the next Avatar after Aang, is a hot-headed and rebellious young woman from the Southern Water Tribe who is “ready to take on the world”. The series plans to follow Korra as she faces an anti-bender revolt while mastering the art of Airbending from Aang and Katara’s son, Tenzin.
