So you think you’re a Star Wars fan, right? I know I spend an awful lot of time each week thinking and writing about Star Wars. Even so, I’m constantly amazed by the amount of creativity and effort that other fans bring to the game. Some create mashup art. Others write scholarly articles about scientific concepts using Tatooine as a model.
Then there is the One. A Minecraft aficionado, @ParadiseDecay , is recreating A New Hope using only “vanilla Minecraft.” This means he did the entire thing without using any special Star Wars “mods” (which are also available in the Minecraft world).
On July 14th, he released his most recent “Breath” trailer for his film. He hopes to have the entire movie finished next year, and will only show it via his website – http://paradisedecay.wordpress.com/ .

As of his most recent update, he only has 40 minutes left to go to complete his masterpiece. It’s taken him three years to get this far. That is serious fanboy dedication!
If you want to have the audio to play along, you’ll need your own copy of the Original version of A New Hope, since he won’t have the sound included on the full length version. Can anyone hook me up with this mystical beast?
