Crunchyroll Adds ‘Saint Seiya: Soul of Gold’ For Spring 2015 Anime Lineup Crunchyroll is making a lot of fans pretty happy today with the announcement that they’ve acquired the streaming rights for Saint Seiya: Soul of Gold. The series is set to debut tomorrow, April 10th, at 11am ET. The series will be available to premium and free members in the United States and Canada while viewers in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Latin America (South America, Central America, and Caribbean) will be able to see it if they’re premium members.

The series will be directed by Takeshi Furuta based on scripts by Toshimitsu Takeuchi and character designs by Hideyuki Motohashi. The cast includes Hideyuki Tanaka as Leo Aioria, Yuusaku Yara as Sagittarius Aioros, Takumi Yamazaki as Aries Mu, Toshihiko Seki as Scorpio Milo, Tesshô Genda as Taurus Aldebaran, Nobutoshi Canna as Aquarius Camus, Yuji Mitsuya as Virgo Shaka, Takeshi Kusao as Capricorn Shura, Ryouichi Tanaka as Cancer Deathmask, Keiichi Nanba as Pisces Aphrodite, Kenyuu Horiuchi as Libra Dohko and Ryotaro Okiayu as Gemini Saga.

The original work from Masami Kurumada ran in the late 80′s and there was renewed interest after the 2012 series Saint Seiya Omega made its way out and ran for two years. With a new 3DCG film last year as well, there’s still plenty of interest, particularly outside of Japan in South America and parts of Europe.

Plot concept: The 12 Gold Saints gave their lives to destroy the Wailing Wall to break the way for Seiya and the Saints in their battle against Hades in the Underworld!

Though presumed dead, Aiolia and the other Gold Saints return to the beautiful earthly world of radiating luminescence!
Why have these lost souls been brought back to life?
Shrouded in this deep mystery, Aiolia becomes embroiled in a duel.
When he burns his Cosmo to its limit…the Cloth of Leo transforms!

In 2015, the Golden Cosmo is finally revived!
