Himegoto Episode 7

Let’s get Hime into a swimsuit.

What They Say:
The story follows Hime Arikawa, whose absent parents have left with saddled with a huge debt. After being saved from debt collectors by three girls on the student council, in exchange for paying off his debt, he agrees to spend the rest of his high school career dressed as a girl.

The Review:
Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
Shifting the show to the school pool for some fun is obviously going to be complicated as Hime gets forced into a girls bathing suit, which obviously has him sensitive to his appearance but also the oppressive leers of the boys. Which in turn becomes a lot of hands on moments with some of them getting all close to him. With the club there to help the swim team practice, that just leads to some complications between them and the student council that is frustrated by their regular involvement in all things. How best to settle it all? A race is in order of course in the pool. That gets some wet and slippery swim time going and some awkward humor along the way.

In Summary:
Playing with gender is part and parcel with this series and there is a good bit of silly fun with it since Hime often forgets that he’s actually a he since he’s treated as a girl so much. Forgetting that does lead to some amusing gags and there’s the ongoing issues in dealing with the others on the council, especially 18+ since she seems to have a few more feelings to him, but mostly we get what you’d expect here with some goofy fanservice, a danger plot device you can see a mile away and a rescue attempt that reaffirms the position that Hime has with the student council. Cute and silly and over quickly, which is probably for the best.
